2. Who are you calling? If you and your spouse or members of the same family will be talking to each other; then there is no reason that you should not look for a plan that will enable you to talk for free whenever you call someone from the same plan. Several cell phone providers will allow you to talk for free when you call mobile to mobile.

3. Are you calling long distance? Cell phones can be expensive especially if you call long distance. You will easily be shocked in your next phone bill if you do not have the proper coverage that will keep you from roaming while using the phone.

4. How many minutes do you need? In my personal opinion it is always better to get more minutes than you need. This will prevent you from being charged overage minutes each and every month. If you go over your minutes a typical minute could easily end up costing you $0.69 per minute. While that may not sound like a lot; I am sure that if you do this every month it will become very expensive.
